Beancurd Skin | 豆腐皮

Description

Beancurd skin is a food product made from soybeans. During the boiling of soy milk, in an open shallow pan, a film or skin forms on the liquid surface. Beancurd skins are commonly used in steamboat, stir-fried or deep-fried for an extra crispy texture.

Health Benefits

Beancurd a good source of protein and contains all nine essential amino acids. It is also a valuable plant source of iron and calcium and the minerals manganese and phosphorous. In addition to this, it also contains magnesium, copper, zinc, and vitamin B1.
