Fresh pork shabu shabu is pork sliced thinly used for hotpots or in Japanese cuisine cooked with black pepper or teriyaki sauces. A very nice cut of the meat for the excellent texture of the meat. Usually served as a quality meats sliced thinly for a quick dip in the hotpot.
It's a great source of protein that provides several important vitamins and minerals. A 3-ounce serving of pork is an “excellent” source of thiamin, selenium, protein, niacin, vitamin B-6 and phosphorus, and a good source of zinc, riboflavin and potassium.
