Mee Kia is a well-known food and the consumption worldwide is on the top. Mee kia is thin egg yellow noodles used in many Singapore hawker dishes, most prominently in bak chor mee (minced pork noodles). Usually mee kia are blanched through a slotted ladle in boiling and cold water multiple times to help to give a nicer springy texture when cooked.
Mee Kia has properties such as nutrition, taste, safety, convenience, and longer shelf life. It tends to be low in calories, fiber and protein, with higher amounts of fat, carbs, sodium and select micronutrients.
